#NRPAFamilyFitDay

Sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), this Saturday, June 13, 2020 is National Family Health & Fitness Day. Not to be confused with National Fitness Day which is in late September, June 13 is a day aimed to encourage families to actively pursue complete body wellness as well as to promote the benefits of parks and recreation within communities. While there are some limitations this year due to COVID-19, here at Raintree, we acknowledge the significance of the NRPA’s mission and encourage you, now more than ever, to recognize the importance of keeping our local communities healthy.

“According to a recent poll conducted by the National Recreation and Park Association, 83 percent of U.S. adults agree that visiting their local parks, trails and open spaces is essential for their mental and physical well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic.” (NRPA, 2020). With this in mind, click here to access their full Outreach Toolkit for more information on how to effectively advocate for National Family Health & Fitness day by participating in these 5 activities that help you stay fit and social distance at the same time.
