Physical Rehabilitation Network Uses Raintree for Clinical Documentation Solution

PRN reduced evaluation time from ~17 minutes to under 90 seconds once by using Raintree.

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) operates in 16 states and has over 280 clinical locations across the US.  Paul Cords, PT, DPT, CIDN, COMT, Assistant Director of  PRN, practices part- time as a treating therapist and helps implement technology across clinics.

He sought a solution to significantly reduce the administrative burden of clinical documentation. The search involved looking at both 3rd party solutions and ScribeIQTM, the native AI scribe
solution to Raintree.

The Problem

Checkicon Excessive time spent on clinical documentation, leading to clinician burnout.

CheckiconVariation in note quality and compliance standards across PRN brands.

CheckiconReduced time for patient interaction.

“ScribeIQTM transformed PRN’s documentation workflow. For therapists seeing 16 evaluations per week, they are saving around 4 hours per week on documentation. This results in a measurable improvement in clinical efficiency, documentation quality and compliance, and increased overall clinician satisfaction.”

Solution

PRN decided to implement Raintree ScribeIQTM, an AI-powered documentation tool
using real-time transcription, in a pilot program which quickly became deeply embedded in daily practice. Cords worked closely with Raintree on customized templates to align with its documentation parameters and compliance requirements.

Real-time transcription using wireless microphones allowed therapists to move freely with patients while ScribeIQTM captured notes in the background that required minimal manual editing. Rapid adoption occurred and produced positive results.

The Results

Cords emphasizes that the impact goes beyond just speed it’s about changing the fundamental way therapy is delivered.

"ScribeIQTM as a tool is saving me so much time as a clinician. I love the fact that it can be there for me. I can trust it and vet what is put in. It's just a different way to do PT.”

Evaluation time reduced from ~17 minutes to under 90 seconds once optimized.

Daily notes simplified as therapists could document while maintaining patient interaction.

Built-in, real-time compliance checks resulted in faster, more compliant notes meeting PRN’s audit standard.
